Ward Off Energy

In the above picture two Master Ding Academy instructors in the Midlands advanced class work on their Peng (‘Ward Off’) energy. Traditional Yang style Tai Chi is famous for its Ward Off power, which is known for being able to throw people across a room with little visible effort.

It isn’t by accident. It is because a lot of time, effort and focussed training develops it.

Having a powerful Ward Off energy, amongst many other things, increases health and vitality, strengthens spirit and sense of calm and allows you to dominate during martial art application. The stronger you become the more you can soften and relax, which in turn leads to more power and more calm.

Higher levels of internal energy concepts, principles, wisdom and philosophy gathered in an unbroken lineage spanning hundreds of years, produces higher levels of personal cultivation.
